BAGAMOYO TOWN
Bagamoyo was the major slave trading port in East Africa. Bagamoyo, which means "Lay down your heart" in Swahili, was probably given this name because Bagamoyo was the last place the slaves would stay in Tanzania before being shipped off to foreign lands.
The town been about 50 kilometers north of the Dar-es-Salaam city is not a busy port anymore instead it has been a tour place for students studying history, humanitarian and others such as Tanzania culture. Come with us to another stunning beach of Tanzania relaxing after a day visit to the ruins.
